Ready for the brownie of your dreams? These No Bake Vegan Brownies with Chocolate Ganache Frosting are game changers! If I am being completely honest, I love no bake brownies way more than the classic baked brownies. Remember those old dove chocolate commercials of the people acting as if they are in a rom com with the chocolate? Well that is how I feel about raw brownies. Why? They have a better flavor, texture, taste, and are WAY healthier.
These simple, raw vegan brownies are topped with a decadent 5-ingredient chocolate ganache frosting! This recipe is made from dates, nuts, and oats, but can easily be made nut-free with a few simple alternatives that will be listed below! This healthy, gluten-free dessert is sure to please the pickiest of eaters.
First, we are going to take a pit stop in this weeks Spiritual Station, I wanted stop the car to discuss fitting in. When I was a young kiddo, I was switched to a private school. This began my journey of feeling different from others. I would desperately try to fit in with others by wearing similar clothes, monitoring how I talk, I kid you not I would watch E! News and TMZ to stay up to date with all of the celebrity gossip so I would have things to talk about. Yet on a deeper level, I would refrain myself from speaking, I would give all of my time over to my peers without getting or asking for anything in return. I became very quiet and reserved, so I would be loved, or so I thought I would be. This pattern continued all throughout middle school, to high school, and into my early college years.
After some soul searching, I decided enough was enough. Maybe not in the best way possible, I pushed everyone who was in my life OUT, but looking back it was essential for my growth. Since then, I have been riding solo. For a long time, I would be judged by others and myself for simply not fitting into their groups. I felt less than because of that, but in truth they were just not my tribe, but rather were a lesson in this lifetime to be authentic and true.
I am all sure we have heard, "Just be yourself!", but what does that mean in this modern world? There are infinite possibilities of who we can be and what we are. They are modeled and shaped by our relationships to peers, parents, friends, and media. So when we are asked this question, or at least for me, it was a matter of not who I was, but who I was pleasing and who I was fitting into to be accepted.
Since my time riding solo in this world, I have been judged just the same for not having these relationships I once possessed, yet there has been an allowance for me to grow spiritual and most of all heal. Now, it hasn't been all easy, it can be an extremely lonely time, but it has been a time I am completely grateful for. I can honestly say I have been able to step into my authenticity and allow myself to be honest about my wants and needs and to ask for them.
So my question to you is, How do you step into your authenticity?
