If you don't know, I am from the dairy central of the United States, aka Wisconsin. Each year in August, State Fair rolls around and the main event, aka the best event is Cream Puffs. Since going vegan over 3 years ago, I have tried making my own.

I would like to state that it took me about 8 tries to get this recipe right.

Yep. You read that correctly.

That's why I am so eager to share this new and improved Chocolate Raspberry Cream Puffs recipe with you!

This recipe is made with one of my favorite local, well local to me, companies, Port Washington Gourmet. In this recipe I use their Chocolate Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar. If you are questioning my tastebuds right now because I said the word vinegar, I was once you. Until, I added it to maple syrup over pancakes and of course into the whipped cream of these Chocolate Raspberry Cream Puffs.

This Cream Puff recipe is:

  • Authentic & Veganized

  • Rich

  • Sweet

  • Flavor-PACKED

Quite honestly, gourmet too. Although this homemade pastry recipe took a long time to perfect, it was WORTH it. The pastry itself is light, airy, and has the same taste and texture of the classic.

Spiritual Pit Stop

Each person is creative, even if you think you're not, you are.⠀

For me, creativity reveals its expression through food, photography, movement, and writing. For others, it could be web design, marketing, communication, or a sport.⠀

The opportunities are endless to express yourself. If you don't think you have a method of creation, ask yourself why is that? What did you love as a kid? What lights you up?⠀

Like I said before, food is a MAJOR part of my creative side. Not only that, it has been an integral part of my RE-CONNECTION to my authenticity, to myself.⠀

As a kid, I would spend hours gazing through cookbooks admiring the photos and recreating them. There were a lot of failures, lessons, and wins.⠀

So now, spending hours upon hours trying to create the perfect Vegan Cream Puff with Chocolate Raspberry Filling is what I consider a FUN time.⠀

I love the intuitive dance that plays out between ingredients, tastes, & textures.⠀

That's why I am constantly in the kitchen making something. Even before this lil blog was a thing.⠀

Now I want to know about YOU. What're some of your creative expressions?

Some Final Thoughts & Tips:

  • Such a Sweetie: Add as little or as much sweetener as you want. The amount in the recipe is a baseline, so YOU can decide how much or how little you want. #customizablewin

  • Chocolate & Raspberry Heaven: The Chocolate Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar is the star of the show in this one, it adds the perfect zip, flavor, & added sweetness to the whipped cream. I could not recommend it more!

  • Store it: Store your cream puffs in an airtight container for 3-5 days. If you want, you can also freeze them in the container for up to one month!
